近年の盛り上がりから続々と人気アーティストを輩出し熱い注目が注がれるサウス・ロンドンのジャズ・シーン。その中でも筆頭格のバンドの一つ「エズラ・コレクティヴ」のメンバーとしてもシーンを牽引する「ジョー・アーモン・ジョーンズ」の来日ツアーが決定!!!

3月の来日公演の成功も記憶に新しいカマール・ウィリアムズを始め、アシュリー・ヘンリー、アルファ・ミスト、サラ・タンディなどと並んで、現在の南ロンドン・ジャズ・シーンでもっとも才能溢れるピアニスト／キーボーディストである「ジョー・アーモン・ジョーンズ」、ジャズにアフリカ音楽、レゲエ、ダブ、ソウル、ファンクなど多彩な要素を融合し、ヒップホップやハウス、ブロークンビーツなどクラブ・サウンドを経由したロンドンらしい現在進行形のジャズの形がここに！

South London’s jazz scene has been producing a succession of popular artists in recent years, and is attracting a great deal of attention. Joe Armon Jones, who also leads the scene as a member of Ezra Collective, one of the leading bands in the scene, is coming to Japan on tour!

Alongside Kamal Williams, Ashley Henry, Alpha Mist and Sara Tandy, who is still fresh in our minds from his successful tour in Japan in March, “Joe Armon Jones” is one of the most talented pianists and keyboardists in the current South London jazz scene, and he will be performing a variety of jazz, African music, reggae, dubstep, dubstep and more. Here is an ongoing form of jazz that is uniquely London, fusing diverse elements of African music, reggae, dub, soul and funk, via hip-hop, house, broken beats and other club sounds!
