2023.05.13-14 TSUBAKI DELUXE at ist – Aokinodaira Field
We’ve been sitting on some very exciting news at Tsubaki FM and can finally announce that we are organising a festival! Introducing TSUBAKI DELUXE, based at Ist – Aokinodaira on the 13-14th May, we’ll be dishing out a musical extravaganza in amongst the beautiful nature of the Nagano countryside.
This year marks the 5th anniversary of the launch of Tsubaki fm, an online music radio platform from Tokyo. As we expand to different cities internationally, it only felt right to launching our new festival project; TSUBAKI DELUXE. This is an event that has been in my idea since we started the radio – bringing all our radio presenter together in one place. Heavily inspired from my experiences at WE OUT HERE festival in the UK, this festival will be held at ‘ist – Aokinodaira Field’ in Kawakami Village, Yamanashi.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the fusion of nature, music and art, the euphoric space shared with friends – are just few things you can expect from this festival.

東京発、インディペンデントミュージックを発信するインターネットラジオ「Tsubaki fm」。2018年のローンチから今年で遂に5周年。放送地域も東京のみならず、京都、名古屋、広島、そしてロンドンと拡大。日々進化し続けるTsubaki fmが新しいフェスティバルプロジェクト「TSUBAKI DELUXE」をスタートします。ラジオ開局当初から考えていたラジオパーソナリティーを集めてのイベント。コロナ禍で幾度となく企画が頓挫して、実現まで長い時間がかかりましたが、新たな縁もあり、長野県と山梨県の県境、大自然に囲まれた川上村にできた新しいキャンプサイト「ist – Aokinodaira Field」にて企画を作る機会に恵まれました。街中を飛び出して、自然の中で音楽を楽しむことに抵抗がある方も少なくないかと思いますが、僕が去年ヨーロッパを旅した際に訪れた、ジャイルス・ピーターソンが主催するロンドン郊外のフェスティバル「WE OUT HERE」。そこで体感した自然と音楽の融合、都会の喧騒や電波から離れて感じる時間の流れ、何よりも音楽やアートを通じて繋がる仲間達との多幸感溢れる空間に衝撃を受け、このバイブスを日本で、自分たちのやり方で表現したいなという強い想いが開催への後押しをしてくれました。そしてここまで素晴らしい音楽を日々発信し続けてくれたTsubaki fmのパーソナリティーが1つの空間に集結することで、どんな化学反応が産まれるか本当に楽しみです。きっと皆さんに素敵な音楽体験をプレゼントできると思うので、ぜひ5月13,14日は「TSUBAKI DELUXE」にお越しください！ – Midori Aoyama

西に八ヶ岳を擁する長野県川上村。野辺山高原からもほど近いロケーション。場内を流れる千曲川の脇に広く開けた広場や林間の中で、澄んだ空気や自然の暖かさを肌で感じることができる。自然と融合したラウンジやホスピタリティあふれるバスルームなども完備しており、キャンプ初心者でも楽しめる充実の内容になっている。

The festival features Tsubaki fm radio presenters/selectors from Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Hiroshima. And we welcome the following five artists for the live performances!
Japanese-New Zealand producer Mark de Clive-Lowe, whose new project “Hotel San Claudio” is a tribute to Pharoah Sanders, is joining us from LA.
Kuniyuki, from Hokkaido, the unsurpassed treasure of the Japanese electronic music scene.
NAGAN SERVER and Suchmos, who have roots in hip-hop and jazz and have the unusual title of rapper/wood bassist, and keyboardist TAIHEI, who also plays in his own band ‘Sai’.
Hanegi Koen, a creative duo consisting of British filmmaker Sam King and Canadian label head Sean Mallion (ADSR Collective).
And Romantic Babalú, an Afro-Cuban band of 7 members including Japan’s leading percussionist Ogiomi Motomoto, with the internationally acclaimed dancer Darling Saeko at the core.
And there’s more than just music to look forward to.
Snack Yorukaze a bar in the downtown area of Nagano-shi, will be offering a bar featuring local Japanese sake.
ist, the venue of the event, will also offer its own craft beer, natural wine and original food
and there will be a secondhand clothing store PEACE from Hiroshima

Pharoah Sandersへのトリヴュートを込めたニュープロジェクト「Hotel San Claudio」も話題の日系ニュージーランド人のプロデューサーMark de Clive-LoweがLAから来日。
北海道からは言わずもがな日本が誇るエレクトロニックミュージックシーンの至宝Kuniyuki。
ヒップホップとジャズにルーツを持ち、ラッパー／ウッドベーシストという異色の肩書きをもつNAGAN SERVERと、Suchmosそして自身のバンド「賽」でも活躍するキーボーディストTAIHEI。イギリスの映像作家Sam KingとカナダのレーベルヘッドSean Mallion(ADSR Collective)によるクリエイティブデュオ、Hanegi Koen。
そして世界的に活躍するダンサーのダーリンSaekoが中心となり、日本を代表するパーカッショニスト大儀見元ら7人のメンバーで構成される異次元のアフロキューバン・バンドRomantic Babalú。
音楽以外でも、長野市の繁華街、権堂にお店を構える「スナック 夜風」が長野のお酒を中心に出張バーを展開。
そして、会場となるistも自慢のクラフトビールやナチュールワイン、オリジナルフードなどを用意。広島から「古着屋PEACE」の出店等、2日間通して充実のコンテンツがラインナップ。
